The Town of Poland and
the Kennedy Free Library

Building Logo

Shared services, a popular term when talking about fiscal responsibility and "Smart Growth" of communities, has been a long tradition in the Town of Poland. The building that was originally the Kennedy Public School has been the shared residence of the Town of Poland offices and courts, and the Kennedy Free Library for many years.

Following this tradition our Town and our Library are proposing a project to expand and improve our Town Hall and Library facilities.

This November the residents of the Town of Poland will be asked to vote on a proposition to undertake this project. The project's purpose is to build on to the existing structure to provide additional space needed for community needs and upgrade the original building to meet code and safety regulations, energy efficiencies, as well as provide needed handicapped access.
